THE CIRCUIT OF THE MOST LONG-DISTANCE ADVENTURE RACES ON THE PLANET
Created in 2001, the Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS) structures and organizes more than 80 competitions across six continents, ranging from more accessible regional events to the World Championship, the pinnacle of the season.
Held around the world (Spain, South Africa, USA, Australia, France, Poland, Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, Sweden, Morocco, Argentina, Japan, India, Croatia…), the ARWS Qualifiers cover distances from 400 to 700 km and combine several disciplines — mainly trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, climbing, canyoning and other outdoor activities. Courses are designed in wild and varied environments, far from civilization. Teams of four athletes, including at least one woman, must progress completely autonomously for several days, with only a map and compass to guide them. Each race is a qualifier for the ARWC (Adventure Racing World Championship).
