Each year, a new destination is selected to host the event. Winners of qualifying races and continental championships earn a guaranteed and free spot on the ARWC (Adventure Racing World Championship) start line. The very first Adventure Racing World Championship was held in Switzerland in 2001.
France to Host ARWC 2026
Corsica will host the 2026 ARWC, featuring a course of more than 500 km open over eight days. This adventure will combine trekking, trail running, mountain biking, packrafting, canoeing, navigation and abseiling. Athletes will race across a spectacular island made of deep valleys, mountain lakes, rugged peaks and fine sandy beaches.
