On Sunday 27 September, the first teams arrived in Corte for the opening day of check-in at the Adventure Racing World Championship 2026. At Place Tuffelli, athletes and volunteers finally came together as team registration, equipment checks and technical tests got this Corsican adventure under way.
After months of preparation, the World Championship is becoming a reality. Teams from around the globe are discovering Corte, meeting their fellow competitors and taking care of the final details before heading into Corsica’s mountains, rivers and sea.
Team check-in continues until 29 September. The team parade and opening ceremony will build the excitement ahead of the prologue in the Citadel on 30 September. The race itself starts at 6 am on 1 October on Cours Pascal-Paoli.
