With two months to go before the start, the Adventure Racing World Championship 2026 is entering its final stretch. Behind the scenes and out in the field, the organising team is working at full speed to deliver an unforgettable adventure for the world’s best adventure racing teams in the heart of Corsica.
Over the past few weeks, an enormous amount of work has been completed on the ground. The technical teams have now fully reconnoitred all 12 sections of the course, validating every route, every transition area and every safety procedure. Hundreds of hours have been spent across mountains, rivers, coastline and villages to finalise a course worthy of a World Championship.
A Truly International Adventure
The momentum continues to grow. 99 teams are now officially registered, representing 30 nations from across the globe. From the United States to New Zealand, Japan to South Africa, and from all across Europe, the world’s top adventure racing athletes will gather in Corsica from 27 September to 10 October 2026.
France will naturally have the largest delegation, alongside strong teams from the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Belgium, Poland and many other countries.

A Collective Effort
ARWC 2026 is also a remarkable collective project. More than 25 partners are now supporting the event, alongside local authorities, institutions and businesses that are helping make this World Championship a unifying project for the whole of Corsica.
Corte and L’Île-Rousse Ready to Celebrate
Beyond the race itself, ARWC 2026 will be a true celebration. Corte and L’Île-Rousse will come alive throughout the championship with a rich programme of ceremonies, entertainment, cultural activities and community events designed to involve residents, visitors, volunteers and supporters alike.
From the Parade of Nations and the spectacular prologue to the event village, live coverage, team finishes and the Closing Ceremony, everything is being put in place to ensure everyone can experience the excitement of the Adventure Racing World Championship up close.
The countdown is on. Corsica is getting ready to welcome the world of adventure racing.
