Majestic, resilient, deeply rooted in the island’s land: the laricio pine is much more than a tree. This endemic species of Corsica, which grows nowhere else, embodies the brute strength and wild beauty of the mountains that are about to challenge the runners of ARWC 2026. It is the perfect symbol of resilience and respect for our environment.
To give substance to this symbol, history was written thanks to a beautiful local synergy. A Corsican sawmill generously offered our organization half of the trunk of this noble wood.
This raw block is now in the expert hands of Hervé Dubuis. Cabinet-maker, Hervé is also a man of challenge: he shares a long history of friendship with Pascal Bahuaud, having run alongside him a dozen Raids Gauloises. It is he who will sculpt and manufacture, from this piece of plant history, the trophies of ARWC 2026. A unique way to transmit to our champions a fragment of the Island of Beauty.
