RACE UPDATE

A further deterioration in the weather is forecast for western Corsica. In response to the expected conditions, the ARWC 2026 organisation has decided to act ahead of the changing weather and adapt the course accordingly. Two areas are affected: the Ruda Canyon and the Golo River, both of which are now closed to teams.

– Ruda Canyon
Access to the Ruda Canyon has been closed since 11:00 am on Wednesday 7 October, following the passage of the last team already committed to the section, Ligue Corse Raid (95). Since then, no further teams have been permitted to enter the canyon.

– Golo River
The same decision has been taken for the river trekking section in the Golo, which has been closed since 11:30 am. Eleven Full Race teams are directly affected and will therefore not be able to complete this section. They will continue on foot along the road, heading directly to TA8 before continuing the race.

PENALTIES ISSUED BY THE JURY

The ARWC 2026 jury has also drawn up an initial list of penalties issued during the race for various breaches of the rules or requirements relating to mandatory equipment. The full list of penalties will be displayed at TA11, allowing teams to review them before crossing the finish line.
