There are athletes who embody a territory, a mindset, a way of life.
Guillaume Peretti is one of them; we are proud to welcome him as ambassador of the 2026 Adventure Racing World Championship in Corsica.
Guillaume Peretti, 40, is from Cervioni in Corsica — a raw, demanding land that shapes character. From an early age, his parents gave him the freedom to explore the landscapes around him. The mountains quickly became far more than a playground:
“As a child, I was quite introspective and at the same time very active. The mountains calmed me. I have a deep passion for this island, where I find my balance, and a strong attachment to the mountains.”
In this wild setting, he built his identity. He learned to listen, to observe, to move forward — and to find his own rhythm.
Over the years, Guillaume has become a complete athlete, recognised for his ability to perform on the most technical terrain — where effort is constant and nature sets the rules. In 2014, he made a mark by breaking the assisted GR20 crossing record previously held by Kilian Jornet. A performance that reflects his playground: demanding, committed, authentic. But beyond the results lies a deeper pursuit — that of self-mastery.
An EDF employee for the past 10 years, Guillaume has recently expanded his journey by training in mental preparation, adding a new dimension to his approach to performance. More recently, he once again distinguished himself by winning the Triathlon des Sanguinaires in Ajaccio, confirming his versatility and endurance.
But what truly stands out about him is not just performance — it is consistency. Guillaume embodies the balance between high standards and humility, intensity and groundedness. Very active on social media, he shares his training, his challenges, and even his moments of doubt without pretence. A genuine way of inspiring a growing community around him.
His journey, his connection to nature, his relationship with effort — everything about Guillaume resonates with the DNA of our Adventure Racing World Championship.
Deeply honoured by this role, he is already looking ahead:
“to experience the event from the inside, to share, to pass things on… and above all to spend a week at the heart of the adventure, as close as possible to the participants — what a wonderful prospect!”
