Chris Forne and Stuart Lynch, multiple world champions, are among the stars of the ARWS circuit. They had not been seen for some time, but they have just made a notable return. Alongside Emily Wilson and Theo Wordsworth, they won the first qualifying race of the 2026 season: The Magnificent in New Zealand. This performance secured them a place at the World Championship in Corsica.
The new ARWS world ranking was published on December 3. The French team 400Team climbs to the top spot in this ranking—a performance that confirms the team’s consistency, dedication, and excellence in international races.

🌍 Adventure Racing World Championship 2026 – Registrations Open Saturday 13 December 🌍
To highlight the World Ranking and reward the teams most active on the international circuit, a first registration wave at a preferential rate is being offered.
👉 Among all teams registered during the first wave, the 20 highest-ranked teams, in official world ranking order, will have their entry confirmed.
👉 All other teams will be placed on a waiting list and will receive priority access during the second registration wave in January.

On Saturday, 13 December 2025, exactly 290 days before the start of the 2026 Adventure Racing World Championship (#ARWC2026), registration will open for teams.

An Organizing Committee was created to oversee the planning and execution of ARWC 2026. It coordinates and implements all operations related to the World Championship.
The presidency has been entrusted to Antoine Orsini, president of the Communauté de communes de Centre Corse.
From the very beginning, Antoine Orsini has been actively involved alongside the organizers. He teaches hydrobiology at the University of Corte and has published several works on water, both worldwide and in Corsica. He will serve on the event’s as a strong and committed ecological authority.
