Between 500 and 600 people will gather around the 2026 Adventure Racing World Championship: athletes, volunteers, media, supporters, partners… for two weeks of sport and events centered on outdoor sports and adventure racing.

80 Teams expected

Representing the world’s top adventure racing athletes from around thirty nations, 80 teams are expected in Corsica for the 2026 Adventure Racing World Championship (#ARWC2026). These mixed teams of 4 racers will set off on Thursday, October 1st , from the town of Corte, tackling a non-stop course of almost 500 km with 18,000 meters of elevation gain, across trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, packrafting… The first finishers are expected to cross the line on October 6th, at Paoli Square in the historic center of L’Île Rousse. The last teams will arrive two to three days later, completing an extraordinary adventure, shared as a team of four, in total immersion in the heart of Corsican nature.
