RACE UPDATE

Due to weather conditions, ARWC 2026 Race Management has announced further changes to the course on Thursday 8 October. These measures mainly affect teams stopped at CP12 and TA8, the cut-off times and the final section before the finish line in L’Île-Rousse.

Teams stopped at CP12 and TA8 resume racing

Teams that reached CP12 on Wednesday 7 October and were stopped by the organisation will resume racing from 9.30 am on Thursday. They will travel by mountain bike along the road to TA9, with a minimum travel time of one hour. They will not be allowed to leave TA9 before 10.30 am.

The same applies to teams stopped at TA8 on Wednesday 7 October. They may set off from 9 am to reach TA9 by mountain bike, following the road. A minimum travel time of two hours applies, with departure from TA9 permitted from 11 am.

Cut D brought forward to 7 am

Another important change concerns Cut D at TA10, which has been brought forward to 7 am on Thursday 8 October.

Teams leaving TA10 after this time must continue by mountain bike to TA11, following the D81 and then the T30. A minimum travel time of five hours applies to this section. No team will be allowed to leave TA11 before midday.

Final section on foot only

The course has also been modified between TA11 and the finish line. Teams must now proceed directly to L’Île-Rousse on foot, via checkpoint K44.
