At L’Île-Rousse, 400Team Altore (01) claimed second place at the ARWC 2026 – Corsica is Magic, behind Estonian ACE La Sportiva. World champions in Ecuador in 2024 and third in 2025, the French team add another World Championship podium to their impressive record.
The subsequent finishes were thrown into chaos by a violent storm that devastated the finish village. Yet, amid the dramatic conditions, the battle for the final podium place still produced an extraordinary spectacle for the crowd.
After more than six days of racing, Estonia’s Tactical Foodpack (08) and France’s Luberon MUC (14) somehow found the strength for one last battle: a thrilling packraft sprint, racing side by side all the way to the finish line, roared on by an enthusiastic crowd.
The two teams finished joint third. A shared place on the podium after an unforgettable finale in which, despite the exhaustion of more than six days of non-stop racing, neither team was prepared to give an inch.
